Dear Pastors, Lay Leaders and Lay Servant Ministers:

“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” ( Acts 1:8)

Jesus has called each of us to use the special gifts which we have been given to enable us to be His witnesses in the world. This fall Gulf Central District will be having three Certified courses and a Basic Course for Lay Speaking Ministries. The courses, which are listed below, are designed to enable these people who have come to your mind to effectively and powerfully complete Christ’s command.

Gulf Central District Training Event for Lay Servants

The following topics will be covered: Servant leadership, Spiritual leadership, Caring ministries, Sharing your faith and Leading meetings. **Those taking this class need to bring the following items with them; Bible, Hymnal, a United Methodist Book of Worship and borrow a copy of the current Book of Discipline.
